Hello all, Just a short article this time.I hope you enjoy raeding it and please also feel free to get in touch and share your own stories, experiences and view points.
Hello, I thought
it was about time I put out another newsletter. It is a nice way to keep in
touch.
What a blast the
last few weeks have been. I am delighted to have been involved with a couple of
Spiritualist Church events. From
previous articles you will know that I have now worked at Cochrane Castle and
Clydebank Spiritualist Church.
However this
week (Mon 5th Aug 2013) I had the pleasure of working at Leven
valley Spiritualist Church with two other mediums Anne Shaw and Garry
Cooke. What an outstanding experience it
was. It is always interesting watching
other mediums work and this was truly exceptional.
The following
comments I had placed on my FB page, but it is worth repeating here also.
I would just like to say thanks to Maureen
and all at the Leven valley Spiritualist Church for a fabulous event. You have
obviously put a lot of work into organising this event, and it showed. I
absolutely enjoyed myself. What a fantastic turn out. I was completely taken
aback by the number attending.
It was a great experience to work with Anne Shaw. With a great relaxed style and presentation and also the madness and mayhem of Gary Cooke.
Thanks to all concerned for giving me the opportunity to be there. I loved every second of it.

Readings can
sometimes be very serious and emotional of course, but this week in particular
reminded me that humour is also important in our work, just as it is in life.
I was reminded
of that when watching Garry ‘do’ his
stuff’ and then the following story was also shared by a good friend of mine
Alex Wallace. So I thought that I would pass it along also.
Julie Andrews
Turning 79 - this is hysterical!
To commemorate
her birthday, actress/vocalist, Julie Andrews made a special appearance at
Manhattan's Radio City Music Hall. One of the musical numbers she performed was
'My Favorite Things' from the legendary movie 'Sound Of Music'. Here are the
lyrics she used: (Sing It!) - If you sing it, it’s especially hysterical!!!
Botox and nose
drops and needles for knitting,
Walkers and
handrails and new dental fittings,
Bundles of
magazines tied up in string,
These are a few
of my favorite things.
Cadillacs and
cataracts, hearing aids and glasses,
Polident and
Fixodent and false teeth in glasses,
Pacemakers, golf
carts and porches with swings,
These are a few
of my favorite things.
When the pipes
leak, when the bones creak,
When the knees
go bad,
I simply
remember my favorite things,
And then I don't
feel so bad.
Hot tea and
crumpets and corn pads for bunions,
No spicy hot
food or food cooked with onions,
Bathrobes and
heating pads and hot meals they bring,
These are a few
of my favorite things.
Back pain,
confused brains and no need for sinnin',
Thin bones and
fractures and hair that is thinnin',
And we won't
mention our short shrunken frames,
When we remember
our favorite things.
When the joints
ache, when the hips break,
When the eyes
grow dim,
Then I remember
the great life I've had,
And then I don't
feel so bad.

(Ms. Andrews
received a standing ovation from the crowd that lasted over four minutes and
repeated encores. Please share Ms. Andrews' clever wit and humor with others
who would appreciate it.)
Well that is all for now. As I said earlier do feel free to keep in touch.
