Here are a few thoughts to share.

GREATER THAN YOUR CHALLENGES

Sometimes in life it is hard to realize that we are greater than any challenges that we face. That we are greater than the issues that life brings our way.

How many times have we faced problems in life and begin to doubt ourselves. That self doubt is crippling. As soon as self doubt creeps in we begin to undermine ourselves and render ourselves incapable of making positive decisions, and taking action to resolve our problems.

This becomes self perpetuating. A self produced downward spiral.  It is very easy to get caught up in the immediate issue’s that are happening around us. Especially if those things are not going smoothly.

Once stuck in that type of situation it becomes very easy to expect more problems, more worries and more stress to turn up in our lives, and to be very honest it is very hard to break that pattern.

The more we focus and worry about these things the more we build it up in our minds to the point where we lose sight of the bigger picture. The worry becomes so great that we ‘forget’ the other things and people that are in our life.

When you are worrying yourself to bits about a particular problem, try to step back from it a little.  That is not to say that we should do nothing about it, but by stepping back we from it, we give the problem less power over us, which in turn allows us the time and breathing space to allow other options to be presented to us.

To my mind this is what the Tarot card THE MOON is all about.

If you look at the card and see that this represents night time, therefore dark times or stumbling about in the dark. The path we need to walk is there, in plain view, a path illuminated for us and stretching ahead away from the problems and distractions.

The distractions are the wolf and dog howling at the moon and the crayfish snapping at our heels from the dark waters. If we allow ourselves to become distracted dealing with the howling hounds and the crawfish, we fail to move forward and away from the problem, it is as useless as the hounds howling at the moon. It does nothing and achieves nothing.

So rather than focusing on the problems, the obstacles and complications we need to step back, recognize the issue and the solution, and then follow the path clearly. Incidentally the little yellow shapes falling from the moon are ‘Yods’ representative of God. In other words God and even the world of spirit will show us the way forward if we take the time to look and see the signs.

 

The next time you feel that your plans or hopes are unravelling you may want to visualise the image below.

 



Recently I discovered a  video of a man living in extraordinary circumstances.I was so blown away by his ability to survive extremely difficult odds, and to do so with humour that I would like to share it with you.

Be warned though it lasts about an hour.I know, I know, you are thinking WHAT! I am not sitting here for an hour watching some junk. However may I suggest that you go grab a cuppa and some munchies, sit down and watch this for as long as you can. Not only will you find this heartbreaking but also spiritually uplifting.

I firmly believe that this mans story will give you the strength to deal with anything that life throws at you.

Me: God, can I ask You a question?

God: Sure

Me: Promise You won't get mad

God: I promise

Me: Why did You let so much stuff happen to me today?

God: What do u mean?

Me: Well, I woke up late

God: Yes

Me: My car took forever to start

God: Okay

Me: at lunch they made my sandwich wrong & I had to wait

God: Huummm

Me: On the way home, my phone went DEAD, just as I picked up a call

God: All right

Me: And on top of it all off, when I got home ~I just want to soak my feet in my new foot massager & relax. BUT it wouldn't work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did You do that?

God: Let me see, the death angel was at your bed this morning & I had to send one of My Angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that

Me (humbled): OH

GOD: I didn't let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road.

Me: (ashamed)

God: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick & I didn't want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn't afford to miss work.

Me (embarrassed):Okay

God: Your phone went dead because the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call, I didn't even let you talk to them so you would be covered.

Me (softly): I see God

God: Oh and that foot massager, it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn't think you wanted to be in the dark.

Me: I'm Sorry God

God: Don't be sorry, just learn to Trust Me.... in All things , the Good & the bad.

 

Me: I will trust You.

 God: And don't doubt that My plan for your day is Always Better than your plan.

Me: I won't God. And let me just tell you God, Thank You for Everything today.

God: You're welcome child. It was just another day being your God and I Love looking after My Children...

REACH OUT AND CONNECT WITH SPIRIT.

 

 

Hello all,

 

Connecting with spirit is becoming a larger and more important part of my work now. I began my studies  about 23 years ago, initially with palmistry and then graduating to tarot cards, numerology, psychometry and crystal.

 

 

Working with these subjects on a regular basis and meeting many people to conduct readings with eventually led me to working with spirit and self development.

 

 

It has been a fascinating journey and yet I am still only learning. I suppose that part of it will never end. we should always be learning something new and different.

 

 

Working with spirit is a fascinating experience,and of course, can be very serious at times. However people on spirit side still maintain a sense of humour, at the end of the day, they are still people. Nothing more and nothing less. They still maintain their own unique individual character and personality.

 

 

I love the idea that when I have passed over I can still scare the hell out of my family here. Wonderful!

 

 

INTERPRETING THE INFORMATION

 



I remember conducting a reading for a woman. During the reading I could see a man in spirit standing next to her. He kept throwing a set of keys on the table. He kept giving me three letters, which I felt were STD! I also kept receiving something to do with a car.

We were unable to figure this out during the reading. Many months afterwards I met the woman again at another house party.

She was then able to explain what the man, the keys and the letters were all about. She told me that when she left my reading previously she was worried that I would think she had a sexually transmitted disease (STD).

It turned out that STD should have been CTD, part of the registration of her car. The man was obviously someone known to her and the keys were the keys of the car.

This story also shows how easy it is to misinterpret what I am 'receiving'.

SENSING BEYOND THE SENSES.

 



 



 Recently I was watching a documentary on quantum physics entitled "What the bleep do we know". I t was absolutely fascinating. It appears to me that science is actually drawing closer to the beliefs of the ancients and the psychics of today.

 

Here is a quote from the documentary which, in my view supports the views of the mystics throughout the ages.

 

"We have to go beyond our senses to create a new paradigm. Our senses determine everything that exists in our world, but that does not necessarily mean that is the end of our world.

 

We have to embrace knowledge that is unconventional, that is in the unseen, and if we can wire that into our brain first, then what has always existed will now be seen by us. That is the paradigm shift."

 

This is a statement from contemporary science. A modern day physicist. Is that not astounding?

 

 

I also watched a talk from a scientist who was exploring thew connection between science and psychic subjects. he mentioned the following experiment.

 

Apparently scientist split a single atom. Thus creating two identical atoms. These atoms were placed in a machine and seperated by fourteen miles. Even though the  atoms were no longer physically connected and seperated by 14 miles when they 'touched' one item the other one also reacted. Thus proving the existence of a non physical connection.

 

This is something that I may well explore in additional newsletters.

Cochrane Castle Spiritualist Church.

 

 

 

I am pleased to say that I have finally given my first demonstration at a spiritualist church. This was held at the Cochrane Spiritualist Church in Johnstone.

It was  a fairly quiet evening, but the spirit connected well and the messages were well received by those attending. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

My thanks go to Maureen McIndewar for making it possible, and also to Debbie and Gordon for making me feel very welcome.

If this was a typical example of the welcome received at most spiritual churches, I would be delighted to do some more.

 

 A FIRESIDE CHAT

 



Sometimes working with readings can be very funny, other times it can be a very sad experience.

Just recently I was conducting a reading for a woman, and a few minutes into this, I felt spirit draw very close to me, and quietly but firmly, they told me that the woman herself was very ill, indeed they said she was terminally ill and that indeed she herself would be passing over.

As difficult as this woman, I had to pass this on to the woman I was reading for. She conformed that she was ill and that the doctors could do no more for her. She was not entirely sure just how much time she had left on this side of life.

Her worries were not for herself, but for her family and for all those that she loved that she knew she would be leaving behind.

However, I am delighted to say that when spirit came through, they came through in great numbers, they went out of their way to provide a lot of information, including names, personal experiences and private situations.

It became obvious that they were determined to provide enough evidence for her that she could be in no doubt that they were with her, that she could be in no doubt that she would continue her life on spirit side.

They also reassured her that her family would do well in this world and that she would be able to keep a very close eye on them.

I am delighted to say that I think her reading really helped her deal with this very emotional experience.

 

 

A MOTHERS LOVE - MIRACLES DO HAPPEN.

 

 

Miracles do happen.

Amazing Story of a Mother ...Mom's love is great .

 When Carolyn Isbister put her 20oz baby on her chest for a cuddle, she thought that it would be the only chance she would ever have to hold her.

 Doctors had told the parents that baby Rachel only had only minutes to live because her heart was beating once every ten seconds and she was not breathing. Isbister remembers:

 I d...idn’t want her to die being cold. So I lifted her out of her blanket
 and put her against my skin to warm her up. Her feet were so cold. It was the only cuddle I was going to have with her, so I wanted to remember the moment.” Then something remarkable happened.

 The warmth of her mother’s skin kick started Rachael’s heart into
 beating properly, which allowed her to take little breaths of her own. We couldn’t believe it – and neither could the doctors. She let out a tiny cry.

 The doctors came in and said there was still no hope – but I wasn’t
 letting go of her. We had her blessed by the hospital chaplain,
 and waited for her to slip away. But she still hung on.

 And then amazingly the pink color began to return to her cheeks. She literally was turning from gray to pink before our eyes, and she began to warm up too. The sad part is that when the baby
 was born, doctors took one look at her and said ‘no’.
They didn’t even try to help her with her breathing as they said it
 would just prolong her dying.

Everyone just gave up on her,” her mom remembered. At 24 weeks a womb infection had led to her premature labor and birth and Isbister (who also has two children Samuel, 10, and Kirsten, 8 ) said, “We were terrified we were
 going to lose her. I had suffered three miscarriages before, so we didn’t think there was much hope.”

 When Rachael was born she was grey and lifeless. Ian Laing, a consultant neonatologist at the hospital, said: “All the signs were that the little one was not going to make it and we took the decision to let mum have a cuddle as it was all we could do. Two hours later the wee thing was crying. This is indeed a miracle baby and I have seen nothing like it
 in my 27 years of practice. I have not the slightest doubt that mother’s love saved her daughter.”

Rachael was moved onto a ventilator where she continued to
 make steady progress and was tube and syringe fed her mother’s
 pumped breastmilk. Isbister said, “The doctors said that she had proved she was a fighter and that she now deserved some intensive care as there was some hope. She had done it all on her
 own – without any medical intervention or drugs. She had clung on to life – and it was all because of that cuddle. It had warmed up her body and regulated her heart and breathing enough for
 her to start fighting. At 5 weeks she was taken off the ventilator and began breastfeeding on her own. At four months Rachel went home with her parents, weighing 8lbs – the same as any other healthy newborn.

Because Rachel had suffered from a lack of oxygen doctors said there was a high risk of damage to her brain.

 But a scan showed no evidence of any problems and today Rachel is on par with her peers.

Rachel’s mom tells us, “She is doing so well. When we brought her home, the doctors told us that she
 was a remarkable little girl. And most of all, she just loves her cuddles. She will sleep for hours, just curled into my chest.

It was that first cuddle which saved her life – and I’m just so glad I trusted my instinct and picked her up when I did. Otherwise she wouldn’t be here today.
